Role Overview: Backend Software Developer with Focus on Databases

Position Title: Software Developer (Focus on Databases, Backend)

To be placed: Could be filled 2 times if candidates are seniors - otherwise rather 1 because then the candidate would need more training binding internal resources

Location:
100% remote within Germany or at Senftenberg HQ.
Quarterly on-site visits for company events required.

Languages:
*German at least B2 Level - ideally at least C1
*English at least B2

Key Responsibilities:
1) Database-Driven Development:
Work primarily on backend database technologies for the AKTIF®dataService software, focusing on maintaining and optimizing complex data structures.
2) Product Customization & Client Projects:
Tailor solutions to meet client-specific needs within the energy sector and execute internal product development tasks.
3) Collaboration & Integration:
Coordinate with product and project managers to translate market and customer feedback into the product lifecycle.
4) Technical Specifications & Task Management:
Contribute to technical specifications for projects, handling task planning and implementation, working in SCRUM with Jira as the project management tool.

Technical Requirements:
Must-have Skills:
*Relational Database Proficiency: Expertise in SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or similar database systems.
*Data Modeling: Proficiency in UML and Entity-Relationship (ER) modeling.
Software Architecture & Conceptualization: Strong skills in software design and conceptual planning.
Nice-to-have Skills:
*Oracle Database Experience: Direct experience with Oracle is highly preferred.
*Programming Frameworks (Optional): Familiarity with Java, Spring 4, AngularJS, TypeScript, Hibernate, and Maven.
*Knowledge in Energy Markets: Familiarity with energy market processes and relevant business functions is an advantage.

Experience Required:
3-5 years of experience in database-focused software development.

Salary Range:
Based on experience:
€50,000 - €60,000 for 2-3 years of experience
€60,000 - €80,000 for candidates with 5+ years of experience.

Bonus/Variable Compensation:
No additional bonuses.

Educational Requirements:
A university degree is not essential if the candidate has relevant experience in database management and backend development.
