Job:
This is an exciting and challenging opportunity for a mid-senior lawyer (5 – 10 years of experience) to join our Legal and Compliance Department in Luxembourg. Reporting to the country Head of the Legal and Compliance Department, the resource selected will be mainly responsible for the following activities:
-Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of international agreements related to a large portfolio of products, with a special focus on commercial law (e.g, license agreements, distribution agreements) in the pharmaceutical industry, as well as all kind of agreements linked to the life cycle of the products (quality agreements, manufacturing and supply agreements, pharmacovigilance agreements, etc.);
-Act as a business partner and provide daily assistance to all internal clients providing accurate, relevant, and timely advice on a variety of legal topics that relate to the business sector;
-Ensuring compliance with all laws and regulations that apply to the business;
-Management of any other legal documents as required by day-to-day operations;
-Liaising with the Head of the Department and junior member(s) of staff.
Operating from a hub developing several holding activities, the selected candidate will have a unique opportunity to gain a complete view of the pharmaceutical business and to reach an outstanding responsibility in the day-to-day legal matters in respect to the major product in the group’s portfolio.
Ideal profile
-University Degree in Law with good knowledge of contract law and, preferably, pharmaceutical law;
-5-10 years experience as in-house lawyer in an international focused company;
-a solid experience in drafting and negotiating contracts in the pharmaceutical sector is a must;
-Excellent knowledge and understanding of corporate law and procedures;
-Good knowledge of EU laws & regulations;
-Sound judgement and ability to analyse situations and information;
-Perfect command of English is mandatory (both written and spoken), knowledge of any another major european language (French, Italian, Spanish or German) is an important asset;
-Team player with an ability to work autonomously;
-Effective planning and time-management skills;
-The successful candidate will have a proactive and dynamic approach, show high flexibility and demonstrate excellent analytical, written and oral communication skills.
