Responsbility:

To support the strong growth of our business, we are looking for a back-end lead developer to manage and support our team and our projects related to electric mobility.

Your mission will be to lead all aspects of the development of the back-end part of our projects and manage the team accordingly. It is made up of 11 developers, including four back-end developers.

 

As part of our team, you will work with:

Note that we also work with VueJS (web) and React Native (iOS, Android) on the front-end.

These modern projects include:

Several web-based charging station supervision software applications, including two main web applications built with PHP and Laravel (Vue.js on the front-end side), make, among other things, extensive use of several APIs for communication with external partners.
Several end-user applications (web and mobile) for using charging stations (B2C) were built with Vue.js or React Native.

Missions

 

Your mission will be to lead the backend projects and team. Thereby :

You will support and manage the know-how of the team.
You will ensure the quality of the code (code review, definitions of standards, best practices, DRY, KISS, etc.).
You will analyze the needs and technical constraints of the various back-end projects, and you will define the tasks to be performed.
You will assign the tasks to the team accordingly.
You will remain able to lend a hand to development, especially on the most complex sites.
You will supervise the documentation of back-end developments.
You will prioritize and quantify the developments with the project manager.

In general, you will interact on a daily basis with the entire team, particularly with the front-end lead and the production manager, while being directly supervised by the project manager. You will be a first-position actor concerning technical decisions, which will be debated between these people quoted.

All tasks are defined using tickets on our GitLab instance, with a methodology similar to Scrum.

 

Ideal profile
You are an experienced back-end web developer. You can provide proof of professional and/or personal experience (ideally both) spanning at least five years.
You can demonstrate self-taught experience by showing code, for example, on GitHub.
You use and like PHP 8+ in general; good knowledge of Laravel 8+ is a plus (Symfony is appreciated too).
You are able to model a database, optimize your queries, and know the three fundamental principles of development: dry, kiss, and solid.
You ideally justify team and/or project management experience; you understand the implications of managing a growing team and projects.
You have a thirst for leading complex applications that meet very diverse and constantly changing business needs.
Proofreading and writing clean, readable, and durable code is a constant goal.
You are not afraid of making decisions; your role will also be to decide on the technical choices of our projects.
