Role Overview: (Junior/ Mid/ Senior) IT-Network Administrator

Business Unit: This role is part of the WTG Communication

Number of Open Positions: 2

Location: This role can be done full-remote or in one of the offices of the WTG Communication in Münster, Hamburg, Wiesbaden, Gelnhausen

Remote/ On-site policy: 5 days per week home office possible (100% remote)

Key Responsibilities:
For both Senior & Junior positions, the following core tasks apply with some variations in expertise:
*Networking Services: Act as the main point of contact for IT-Networking services in projects and ongoing service support.
*Implementation & Administration: Implement and administer network projects both internally and for customers. For Senior, these will be complex network projects; for Junior, focus on general network administration.
*Security & Infrastructure: Ensure network security, maintain network infrastructure, and administer monitoring of network systems.
*Documentation: Create technical documentation for network projects and processes.
*Support: Address service requests via a ticket system.
*Customer Focus: Ensure high customer satisfaction by understanding and fulfilling customer needs, particularly through tailored network solutions.
*Technical Collaboration: Work with internal teams to ensure smooth operations and continuous improvement of the network infrastructure.

Senior-Specific Responsibilities:
*Advanced Firewall Experience: Deep expertise in Firewall technologies (especially Sophos and pfSense).
*Network Security: Advanced network security management and high-availability setups.
*Advanced Networking Protocols: Expertise in routing/switching, firewalling, wireless LAN, QOS, 802.1X, dynamic routing protocols, and network analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark).

Junior-Specific Responsibilities:
*Initial Firewall Experience: Some familiarity with firewall management, with room for further development.
*Learning & Development: Gain practical experience in managing network infrastructure, focusing on routing/switching, firewalling, wireless LAN, and network management.

Key Skills & Technologies:
Must-have for Senior:
*Advanced Networking: Solid experience with network infrastructure, routing/switching, firewalling (Sophos, pfSense), and network security.
*Protocols & Analysis: Familiarity with technologies such as QOS, 802.1X, dynamic routing protocols, Wireshark.

Must-have for Junior:
*Basic experience in networking, firewalling, routing/switching, and network management.

Shared Skills for Both:
*Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
*Methodical working style with a customer-oriented approach.
*Technical Documentation experience.
*Driver’s License Class B.

Years of Experience Required:
Senior: At least 3,5 years of practical experience in network administration and infrastructure management.
Junior: At least 1 year of experience in network administration or related fields.

Salary Range:
€44,000 - €60,000
Junior: Up to 50k€ / Senior up to 60k€

Additional Compensation:
No variable salary or bonuses for either position.

Working Hours: 40 hours per week (32 hours not possible).
Probation Period: 6 months
Vacation: 28-30 days per year
