Job Description:
Reporting directly to the Head of Group Controlling, you will take on the responsibility of developing a comprehensive risk management program and strengthening internal controls. This will involve formalizing key controls, policies, and procedures, as well as ensuring their continuous monitoring. In addition, you will provide support to the controlling team in their daily activities.
Risk Management & Internal Control (60%):
- Oversee the design, development, and testing of the Group's internal controls over financial reporting to ensure compliance with COSO 2013 standards. This includes guiding the Group’s efforts to establish a standardized set of internal controls, risk management principles, and entity-level controls (“ELCs”) for a decentralized organization.
- Perform risk assessments and evaluations: analyze current and emerging risks, identify potential risks impacting the Group and its entities, and design and implement relevant mitigating controls. Formalize and maintain the Group enterprise risk management framework, including a risk register.
- Map key internal controls to business processes and relevant risks. Lead the documentation, assessment, testing, and monitoring of internal controls over financial reporting, including tracking control gaps and action plans to address weaknesses.
- Contribute to Internal Control initiatives, including internal control documentation, business process narratives, flowcharts, and risk control matrices.
- Coordinate the development and update of the Group's Internal Control policies and procedures, ensure their implementation, and monitor compliance with Group policies and local regulations.
- Collaborate with external auditors to ensure a timely and efficient testing approach. Address audit issues and propose appropriate corrective actions.
- Prepare detailed and executive summary updates/reports for senior management, providing valuable insights, highlighting significant internal control deficiencies, and recommending actionable remediation plans.
- Lead change management activities, training, and communication plans to instill strong internal control principles across all Group entities.
Controlling (40%):
- Perform various financial analyses, such as variance analyses (budgeted costs vs. actual expenses), to support management in decision-making.
- Establish and monitor KPIs by creating dashboards.
- Support the implementation of various projects aimed at improving processes within the Controlling department.
Ideal Profile:
- A university degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance is required.
- Chartered Accountant, CPA, CFE, CIA certifications are a plus but not mandatory.
- At least 3 years of experience in internal control and compliance, internal or external audit, risk management, or other related business fields, preferably in the industrial/manufacturing sector.
- Ability to meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating a sense of urgency and being result-driven.
- Experience in project management.
- Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written, with the ability to effectively communicate with employees at all levels within the Group.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience with Tagetik and/or Microsoft Dynamics is a plus but not mandatory.
- Fluency in French (Native) and English (Professional).
