Job:

We are recruiting our future Head of Engineering on a permanent contract who will report directly to the CTO (Chief Technology Officer).

Your primary role will be to provide technical expertise, lead, and supervise the team's development activities. You will be responsible for the design, development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of applications while ensuring product quality and performance. You will be eager to guide and help team members grow.

You will be responsible in particular for the development of the business application and exchange platform with Company customers, an essential application for the company.

Your responsibilities will be as follows:

1. Technical leadership:
Carry the technical vision of applications
Guide the team in the design and software architecture of applications deployed on the Azure cloud, ensuring best practices and development standards are followed.
Oversee development activities, ensuring code is high quality, well structured, and scalable.
Structuring the technical expertise in the team on the application technical stack, in particular.NET 7 (C#, ASP.NET, etc.) for the back-end and Vue 3 for the front-end.
2. Team management:
Mentor and support team members by providing technical guidance, advice, and expertise.
Distribute tasks in a balanced manner, taking into account individual skills and workloads.
Foster a collaborative and motivating work environment, promoting continuous learning and professional development.
3. Software design and development:
Actively participate in the design and development of business software, providing innovative and robust technical solutions.
Actively participate in code review, providing constructive feedback and encouraging coding best practices.
Ensure the implementation of good development practices, including unit testing, continuous integration, and appropriate documentation.

4. Collaboration and communication:
Collaborate with product teams, project managers, and stakeholders to understand functional and technical requirements and ensure the delivery of effective solutions.
Communicate effectively with team members, project managers, and other stakeholders, ensuring objectives and deadlines are met.

5. Technology monitoring:
Stay up-to-date on the latest trends, best practices, and innovations in web technologies.
Evaluate new technologies and relevant tools and propose their adoption if they can improve the efficiency and quality of development.

Ideal profile
Required skills and experience:

Strong experience in SAAS application development
Ability to design scalable software architectures using principles such as separation of concerns (SoC) and inversion of control (IoC).
Knowledge of public cloud architectures (knowledge of Azure is a plus)
Mastery of DevOps and the IaC (Infrastructure as Code) approach
Mastery of APIization issues. Knowledge of an API management or API gateway solution will be an asset.
Good knowledge of corporate urbanization issues
Experience working with agile development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban.
Ability to lead and support the team; excellent interpersonal communication
Pragmatism, strong analytical skills, problem solving, and decision-making
