Head of Engineering

Position Overview: We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Head of Engineering to join our team and eventually grow into the role of Chief Technology Officer (CTO).

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, experience in leading engineering teams, and a passion for blockchain technology. You will work closely with the CEO on idea generation, prototyping, and managing a team of offshore developers. This is an opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work directly with the CEO on idea generation and rapid prototyping to more firmly establish product market fit

• Define the technical vision and strategy of the product and company.

• Lead and manage the engineering team, including offshore developers, ensuring high-quality code and timely delivery.

• Oversee the development and implementation of new features, from ideation to deployment.

• Build scalable and secure solutions, ensuring the highest level of quality and performance.

• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve the platform.

• Develop and maintain a robust and scalable architecture for the Joba.network platform.

• Participate in hiring and mentoring new engineering team members as the company grows.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in full-stack development with a strong focus on the following technologies: Next.js, Node.js, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, and Solidity.

• Solid understanding of blockchain technology and its applications.

• Experience with decentralized identity solutions is a plus

• Demonstrated experience in leading and managing engineering teams.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, remote team environment.

• Comfortable working in a startup environment, ideally with zero-to-one experience.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Fluency in English; Japanese language skills are a plus but not required.

Compensation:

Base salary, Equity and token incentives based on level of experience.
